PM Narendra Modi launched the Fit India Movement in Delhi, this Thursday on National Sports Day commemorating the contribution of Major Dhyan Chand in hockey for India.
The movement has been supported by a number of celebrities including Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who even took to her Instagram account and released a video of her performing some complex yoga asanas. The actress who has been seen as a yoga master of the industry has introduced major fitness videos inspiring people to inculcate yoga has a habit in their sedentary lifestyle.
With some serious lifestyle diseases affecting the population, PM Modi addressed the indifference towards fitness which has been induced in the culture and wanted to take an affirmative step in the matter stated above.
The actress was seen at the launch event and was delighted to meet the Prime Minister and appreciated his step towards a healthier future. The movement had become imperative considering the toxic lives and the degrading environment we are living in. By being a part of something as serious as maintaining fitness, the actress feels proud to be able to forward such positive and healthy message to the society.
Her video has already gone viral and has been creating a buzz all around the internet. The actress is taking an extreme pride in being on the advisory committee of the Fit India Movement and urged the nation to undertake fitness an involuntary habit as serious as breathing. The actress also reposted the Health minister Kiran Rijiju’s post and expressed extreme gratitude and appreciation towards the Prime Minister’s initiative.
Shilpa Shetty also asked the nation’s population to pledge fitness as a way of life. The actress has released multiple videos and yoga DVD’s in the past, substantiating the seriousness with which she takes fitness. According to her, fitness should be made as an inseparable part of everyone’s lives and must make a significant place in everybody’s routine. The launch event was also successfully attended with her congratulating every member on the committee. She was also seen quoting PM’s mantra to a fitter life where he said that shortcuts are not welcomed in the way of success and you would only have to take the stairs. With diseases affecting the youth, it was the need of the hour to launch this campaign in full force and with Shilpa Shetty Kundra, the fitness wizard, being an advisor to the board, we wish them all success with their visionary initiative.
