Kalakalappu 2 Movie Review
Kalakalappu 2 Movie Review

Kalakalappu 2 is a typical Sundar C rib tickling movie similar to Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series. However this film fails to reach the benchmark of its original version released in 2012.

Typical Sundar C movies.

Sundar C specialises in making rib tickling comedies targeting the mass family audience since past 22 years. The stories do not have any logic or connection all together. It just focuses on creating mindless entertainment. So those who do not want any logic but a light fun filled movie then the Sundar C movies will be the best choice. The Original Kalakalappu was a super hit, and so he used the name to make its franchise. The Kalakalappu 2 is not the sequel of the original movie and just has Shiva as the original character present in the new version. The movies have no connection but the goal remains the  same – Mindless Laughter.

Plot of Kalakalappu 2:

Sundar C has roped in some young actors to make the movie a multi starrer. The star cast includes Jiiva Jai, Catherene Tressa, Nikki Galrani alongwith Favourite comedians like Satish, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Singam Pulli, VTV Ganesh, Singamuthu, MunishKantha, Vaiyapuri and more. There is no connection with the first part. The only goal is to create as much laughter as possible with their dialogues and expressions.

It is Shiva who steals the show with the perfect timing of his whacky comedy. He makes his entry just before the interval and virtually rules the second half of the movie.

Downside of the movie.

The downside of the movie is it is too elongated and stretched unnecessarily in the climax. The Climax of the movie at the railway station where everybody is chasing one bag that contains the laptop of the Minister. In fact Shiva even days looking at the audience:

“Don’t look for logic in a Sundar C film!”

Kalakalappu 2 is like a franchise of Sundar C similar to the Golmaal series of Rohit Shetty and promises to come back with a part 3.
